| Elizabeth Brunner has thirteen years experience in the nonprofit sector,
primarily with social service agencies in Southern California, including
the mental health agency Step Up on Second and the transitional housing
program Casa Nuestra. She currently works as a grantwriter at California
Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, specializing in major capital
requests and interdisciplinary project development. Her most recent
proposal secured $500,000 for scholarships from the Mary Stuart Rogers
Foundation. Elizabeth’s track record includes $2.3 million from the Los
Angeles County Department of Mental Health, $1 million from the federal
“Permanent Housing for Homeless Persons with Disabilities Program,” $500,000
from the W.M. Keck Foundation, and numerous private grant awards. Elizabeth
has completed graduate work in English, Sociology, and Social Ethics, in
addition to teaching composition and computer literacy at the college level.
She also conducts grantwriting workshops, most recently for the San Luis
Obispo County Community Foundation. |
